Ángel G. Piñero, organizer of the 2021 “Ángel G. Piñero” International Classical Guitar Competition, in its VIII edition and of the I International Competition for Guitar and String Quartet 2021, and author of the works that are played in both competitions, has Created in 2016 the association called ASOCIACIÓN DE GUITARRA CLÁSICA ÁNGEL G. PIÑERO, to promote both competitions and give them greater identity. As has already been said on other occasions, the objective of the competitions is to spread Spanish classical guitar throughout the world, across countries, interest young people in the instrument and support young guitarists who are beginning their careers.
